Contemporary Garden Design
As a garden designer in Cheshire I have the pleasure to design contemporary gardens with stunning views. This garden has been designed to borrow the beautiful fields that lie beyond the garden. The design incorporates a generous raised patio for entertaining, a large lawn and a stone water feature to provide sound and movement. The lawn is surrounded by a mixed planting scheme that uses the existing shrubs as a foil for wonderful grasses. There is also a herb border next to the new BBQ.
Woodland Walk Garden Design
The garden design for this large country garden was inspired by Beth Chatto's woodland garden. The gravel path meanders through woodland plants and shrubs and ends at a contemporay circular patio surrounded by a dry stone wall. The planting schemes incorporate areas of priarie planting, mixed borders, native schemes and more traditional planting to create a sense of journey and all year interest.
Hilly Family Garden Design
The brief was to design and create a family garden with a large lawn and a patio for entertaining. As a garden designer in Northwich, I took inspiration from classical Italian garden design. The open space of the lawn appears to be cut out of areas of solid planting. The colour pallette is simple and largely green with flashes of colour. The shrubs will eventually provide privacy and the dynamic paths provide movement through the scheme. The hill supports a prairie planting scheme that will get better year on year.
